Sound of exhaust?

Im a newbie to the 2.3 Turbo deal and I was wondering about the exhaust note. Ive been told they dont sound like Hondas (Thank God), but what do they sound like? Quiet V8? Im looking for an SVO and curious. Oh yea, what kinda Horsepower ratings these have?

As I have the stock mufflers, I'm not sure how the SVO sounds with Flowmasters or similar. However, the turbo whistle resonating through the 3" sure does turn heads as you drive by.

Look in the lounge area or search for "dyno day" and you will find some real world numbers and some of the mods made to get the numbers. There is a guy named Huber that has a ~600 hp 2.7 stroker SVO that is doing the 1/4 mile in just over 9 seconds and from what I understand he then drives it home.

What draws attention on the ride home...

Stuff that ends up pacing me or trying to pick me off or get my attention on the way to work or on the way home:

Audis (especially the turbos)

Lexus (I don't know why)

Acura or Honda (They can't take the uphill grade)

BMW or Mercedes (If you spent that much, you must be right) ho hum.

An occasional GTR or blonde in a new Mustang convertible will change lanes till they have seen every corner of the car and then blast off. The one in the convertible is cute but more age oriiented towards my son.

Yes, that whistle sounds attract attention.
