Two part question. Does it fit on cars with A/C and secondly is it an improvement over the stock intercooler?

With air conditioner....answer is yes, it will work.
I don't know the technical numbers over a stock SVO intercooler but the actual size of the core looks to be the same as stock. Improvement would be possiblely better air flow due to the front mount......and the much cooler look of a front mount!Gary Alsobrooks

Yeah I agree the size seems to be comparable. I figured it would look cool and would probably get a cooler charge since it isnt sitting right on top of the two main heat radiating sources under hood.
Anyone no if there are any non-reversible alterations that need to be done to utilize on of these kits?

There are three different kits from Motorsport.
One for the SVO and 2 for the TC , but everyone always tries to sell those as SVO pieces.
If you are looking at one, find out if it mounts n front of the radiatior or not. I had one and it looked like I would have had to cut the crap out of the header panel to get it to fit, so I sold it.Comment

Yes, you do have to cut the radiator support to install the front mount according to the people I've talked to.....I'd still DO IT!!!!Gary Alsobrooks

Yes. The famous REAL SVO intercooler.
Its the one Turbonetics carrys now (I think it was them).
Sadly you cannot see it in these photos, but you will get the idea.

The other style is for TC's and Cougars.

There are two different styles on the one above. Turbo Componates and Turbo auto (I think the same company) and then the Speacro style which looks very similay except is has a welded together core and has a bypass valve.Comment
