      DuPont

DuPont makes a plas-stick part#2320s cleaner for the purpose. Works great on soft plastic also.

I like to use a simple green solution, rinse thoroughly with clean water. let dry and then follow up by a wiping down with denatured alcohol. Once the alcohol evaporates, I wipe it down again with a tack cloth to remove any lint or dust and them hit it with the dye, usually 2 to 3 medium coats.

Just did mine about a month ago (along with my center console). I used the SEM Graphite gray and the paint supply store sold me a matching wax/grease remover (also from SEM). If you want the part number let me know and I'll post it.

Just make sure you test a small spot (on the side) to make sure it doesn't eat into the factory material. My cover was already painted black once by some idiot. So the wax/grease remover didn't have any adverse effects on the dash cover.

BTW - it's not a bad idea to use a plastic parts adheasion promoter before you apply the paint. If not, you may end up with "fish-eye". It's available in a spray cans as well.
