Top quality product at a very reasonable price.
I have run them before and am about to buy a new set.

Guys he's talking about the custom ones using an inline lower with either a aluminum box or tube for an upper. I inquired about them but you have to relocate your alternator because it positions the throttle body in front of the intake for a front mount intercooler and I didn't want to do that. I know Bob said they put one on a 400ish hp car and gained 30 hp over stock gutted and ported intake.

I'm just sayin' I don't care what it is...If Bob makes it, you can count on it being of good quality and a reasonable price.

Call me a Noobie...and you'd be right. Lots of experience with 5.0's...new to the huff'd 4.
Who is this Bob person you are refering to and more importantly does he have a web site? I'm looking for either a sheet metal or tube intake that will accomodate atleast a 65mm throttle body.
I am aware of the kits however I'm looking for a cleaner install.
Is it possible to simply cut/weld a new mounting surface onto a 87-93 4 cyl intake? Would this "Bob" you speak of be capable of such a mod for a non-welder like me?
Gracias

I had one of his Inline/Tube intakes come thru the shop on its way to Norway, it almost didnt make it. It was the kind on artwork you dont like to let go.
When I get ready to do my 85, I am leaning towards that intake. After porting my own intakes over the years I can say that I would have no problem buying one from Bob. My kind of quality A++++

Heh, I haven't put the one I got on yet (it has only been about 2 years), but dealing with Bob was a great experience. The manifold even came with a note to wash the thing out before installing, just in case there was some cruf that got knocked loose in shipping. Nice looking piece, though, as was the exhaust log.

Bob says they are a waste of time. That's why he stopped making them. I have a knifed upper and ported lower that I strongly suspect was Bob's work but I can't confirm it. It is awesome compared to the inline lower I had. I can't compare it to Bob's gutted upper and ported lower yet though. I have a gutted upper and am going to get his lower next month. I'll let ya'll know how it differs in few months.
