  • ready to read your "svo projects to be finished before reunion" list

I don't know why I enjoy this but I do. Post up your car plans to be completed before you head to the reunion. Makes it more interesting while I wander the show.

Projects to be completed on my svo:

    -Big TB installation.
-VAM mounted after Turbo & IC before TB.
    -roller cam installation
    -new rack and pinion
-new Koni's all the way around
-replace drivers side door hinge pins
    -fix fog lights
-fix passenger side electric door lock (anyone got a solenoid and the parts?)

I'm shooting for the goal, many reunions away no doubt, where I just pull it out of the garage and go.

Well....I'm hoping to have the SN95 front suspension swap done. Getting a little tired of looking at the front wheels with no center caps.

Thinking about a brake upgrade as well...but this may have to wait a bit.

      I MIGHT wash mine...

Here is what I want to do, but just dont think its gonna happen...
      --- Huber header
--- Holset ( which means fab a down-pipe and re-work the oil lines and delete the cooling lines. )

But with the 1D-pig comin' home soon, I just dont think I wanna mess with the 2R-pig...but I did do the valve-stem seals and put the seats in that have been sitting in my basement for the last 6 months....

Actually, I have been working on my @#$!ing trailer (pig-hauler) for the last few weeks...total re-wiring, new brakes, body by Krylon makeover, new lights and some new reflective safety-tape.

Thats right kids, im renovating the single-wide !! ( Attendees to the 40th Anny show will appreciate that. )

finding a trailer. I just dont want to drive down PA 81 again. I think I have all my fillings replaced finally.

Anyone know if a ford escape will pulll an SVO the towing capacity is 5000 lbs.

Personally i wouldnt attempt it. The wheelbase is waaaaay to narrow and short for a full trailer IMO.

Dunno the HP rating of the escape, but you may be able to get away with a tow-dolly on a class III hitch.

Well, I’m working on reliability also. My concern now is, I believe that Indy SVT open track is the weekend before. Meaning this gives me time to break down again like after Mid-Ohio. I want to go to both events.

              Is anyone going to Indy?

Well today I brought out the 84 for its second drive since the reunion if I get on it it stumbles so I have to do some trouble shooting to do
just got my collector insurance for it 160 can dollars for the year with my appraisal

This afternoon I dropped off the t roof car for its body and paint and picked up a turbo coupe driveline for spare
after the paint I have some serious w/stripping issues to deal with then its ready.
I still have to slip in and get some before shots and then continue along the way with updates.

Got lots of wants but not many needs this time.
putting a 8.8 rear and boxing out the uppers and lowers.
Playing with a side exhaust idea,
Built a panhard bar that helped out much more than I could have ask for.
last thing is a bypass valve that I have off a thunderbird sc.
                    another idea in the makings.
James you better get the lead out. Call for help if you need anything.

Get somethings lined up, I would like to drive up one day and see the sun come up again, not.
Time to clean up the engine bay!

                        Indy Open track

Henson, I will most likely be working at the event cause the wife, the kids, the bills, and the svo, don't give a whole lotta room right now to play.... I hope to see you there !

Finally finished cutting up the 89 LX 5.0 vert, recycled the front half and gave away the back half at the Bleakley show Sunday 8/8 ( which was also my 2R's 19th delivery day / pick up at the dealership birthday ) James : I tore down the 7.5 as well and have the chunk for you. Now that the vert is FINALLY gone I can get the 1B out of the carport for paint rub out / clean up / paint trim. Then install headlights, turn signals / markers, Koni's when they arrive, inspect brakes / flush fluid and road test.

Well I thought I wouldn't have to do anything. The car is still running ok with the 175,000 mile Tbird engine. Since last years reunion I did the SN95 swap with 99 Cobra wheels, put in an A237 but that's about it. But since I got the killer deal on those 4 piston Brembos, I'm going to attempt to get those installed by then but I also need new wheels to clear the rotors and might have to put Fox length front control arms to fit the bigger wheels. Have a head being ported with big valves installed. And a new shortblock with 5.7 rods. I'm not sure if I'll have the time(and money) to do it all but I'm gonna try. Oh yeah and send in my membership dues that have been due since April.

I've got a few things planned out, but I'll have to see how the money plays out.
I need rear shocks and you know they're almost giving them away. I've also got my brown tops and computer from an 88 t/c to go in if I can find the time. Looks like it's goin to take an all-nighter. Come on up Kerry, there's nothin better than a Georgia sunrise... Maybe I can get James to stay awake this time
I need to repack my bearings too. But I guess I'm lucky and the car runs good, so everything I need are upgrades and can wait till the $ come in.
