  • my passenger window is finicky

2 years ago when I purchased the car the I greased the moving parts and cleaned the wire connections.

The window sometimes gets stuck in the door when I open it.

The window is very sloppy, 40 mph and over you must be very careful rolling it up or it will pop outside the track w/ the window going up the outside of the door - not in it's seals.

    Motors fine, button is fine.

Anyone know what I order that will likely fix this?

    thanky!

    tracks

The tracks need to be adjusted. We are working on a how to and it shold be up in a bit.

Basically pull the door pannel appart. You will see a track on the hinge side of the door. This has 2 bolts. with the window down loosten the bolts and push the track twards the back of the car and tighten. this should take up the slop. Now pay attention to the metal center guide. if it is loose tighten that as well from underneathe the door. I have run into a few doors that this track was no longer connected to the botom of the door mainly due to the stud rusted off. if that is the case take ou the track and drill and tap a new hole and reinstall using a stainless machine screw (love to uses stainless).

The above is ok if all your guide felts are intact. if they are shot then replace all that stuff first then try adjusting things.
