seat belt receiver thingy

I figure that most pre-86 mustangs used the same seat belts, but what other cars share these parts?

I specifically need the driver's side seatbelt belt receiver thingy . The female part that attaches on the right side of the driver seat on the floor. Mine will sometimes not actually grab the male buckle that goes inside.

Making a list of things to look for at the local JY this week.

That's the seat belt part which is in the most demand. I've seen them go for $50 each on ebay. Any 79 to 86 should be the same. The plastic crumbles and then you end up digging for the thing. I suspect 87-93 might work as well. The male buckle looks slightly different. I was also eyeing up a friend Jeep which looked very similar.

Forget going to Ford as the black ones were the last ones thay made and they went obsolete sometime ago. One of the late model parts suppliers list them but I haven't tried ordering it.

You're right! I just happened to check my friend's 86 CJ7 and it works as well. The button is slightly different, but it works. I already found mine, but just for future reference...
