Changed my head light bulbs today, thanks for the posts on getting the correct bulb...while change out the head light bulbs, I decided to do the turn signal bulbs also, I started with the passengers side and after taking out the bulb, I found it to be cover inside and outside the sockete in some that looked like tan grease, checking further it appears that it is some sort of potting agent that ford used in these sockets, after cleaning it with electrical contact cleaner, it still works, I don't know for how long..ther is a Ford wrecking yard locally, and I thought I might go there a take some sockets off a 86-93 mustang, I think from my days with the 92/93 LX coupes that I had they had the same type socket, any else have this problem, if so have you fixed it, and if so how??? any thoughts from anyone???
