paint code question

Ok I looked on my door of my 1986 and under body it says 61B.
Is that the wrong spot to look? the car is red but am unsure which red.

red code?

Paint code for a red SVO should be a '2R' code for the japalino red or '2A' for the Canyon Red.

Look in bottom left of the door sticker.

61B is the body style code. The paint code is below the serial number and above the body code.
Here is one for my 86 9L. The browser shifts things around but you can get the drift.

85 2r?

My buddy looked at an early 85 yesterday, and the car had been repainted jalapeno red. they painted over the tag in the door jam so i don't know if the color was originally 2a or 2r. Does anyone know if 2r was available or is it just for 85 1/2 and 86. Thanks

2R was available for early 85s.

2R or 2A ???

Its easy.... pull up a corner of the carpet, if it's burgandy looking red...it's 2A. If it's a true red it's gonna be 2R.

Or...just paint it the color you want!
