  • Wheel fitment possibilty

I was looking at a V6 '05 mustang today and noticed the wheels. They look like the have a lot of offset to the inside and I know that they have the same bolt pattern. They are 16 inch but not sure in the width. It had 215/65/16. The center cap may be a problem also. A friend works in parts at a Ford dealer, I am going to see if he has one in stock.

The question is, will it fit? I do not know yet, I am going to try and get one to measure.

Is this the wheel you are intrsted in? I just looked on Ford's media site and the online presskit and it looks like they are 16x8" wheels.

Lon, that sure looks like a knock off of an old Shelby/Cobra Halibrand, doesn't it?

            edit to correct speeling

Yea it does. Something just seems off about the proportions to me though and it just looks too busy. The original still looks better. It also kinda reminds me of the 65-67 Styled Steel wheels.

Yea, that is them. 16x8? They did not look that big and they had a 215 tire. I agree, they are busy but I am looking for some kind of replacement for my bent up OE wheels.

Holy sidewall, those tires look like they belong on an F-150.

Have you looked at the SN 95 "Waffle" 5 Star wheels? They are easy to find, fit with no problem, and look great on a Fox Body mustang.

Can anyone find a picture of those? There are so many SN95 wheels it's hard to keep track. I'd love to find a set I could bolt on without much hassle while I have the SVO wheels refinished.

Thanks! Those are great looking wheels, I had them on my 95 and liked them then. Now at least I know one sure thing to look for.

Look up my car (Lon Calvert) in the Member's Cars section (1985 & 1985 1/2) of the website and you'll see my black SVO with the Waffle 5 stars.

I found some info stating that the wheels are 17x8 for the GTs or 16x7 on the V6.
