  • Hubcentric???

Does the Stock SVO wheel utilize hubcentric (use of hub for support) wheels or are the lugs and nuts the only necessary means of attatchment to rotor.

The reason I ask is I have machined the centers out of some wheels and I cannot rely on them being hubcentric, the mount fine but are not resting on hubs.

    Thanks....

Aren't all Fords and most OEM wheels hubcentric? I always wondered how safe Lugcentrics are.

no -- most cars now are lug centric.

I have seen people use lug centric wheels on SVO's before with no problems tho.

I have a 03 stang, V6 with stock 16" wheels, and those wheels are lug centric. I have had those wheels on the SVO, and didn't have any problems, you just have to be careful when you tighten them down, to make sure they center up good.

Yeah, i had those too Eric, the pony skinny spoke looking ones with the running horse in the center right? My Cobras are also lug centric. I would think hubcentric would be safeest for OEM wheels anyway but i guess Lug are cool too now. Hmm. I just can't see all the weight of a car on some skinny wheel studs especially pulling some serious Gs.
