Someone mentioned that probe wheels will work. I've been looking at Probe wheels and they have them in two catagorys 93-94 and 95-97, which wheel will fit the SVO?

I've seen the later probe wheels on an SVO, but the owner said you have to machine out the wheel for the hub dust cover on the fronts.
I have also seen the later probe wheels on an early model probe, so assume they are the same bolt pattern and at least close to the same backspacing.
This same problem exists with many aftermarket wheels, even if they are the correct bolt pattern and backspacing. If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

Probe wheels
I read the same thing about probe wheels fitting the SVO, well as luck would have it I was browseing eBay that same day and found a set of polished probe wheels for I thought was a good price for a set of four. These are the wheels off the GT model and are quite good looking. Well, I won the bid, got them in and was ready to mount new Kumho's on them when I decided to see what one would look like on the SVO. Bolt pattern is the same, however without some maching work on the wheel, they will not fit over the bearing hub. I think it would be better to machine a little of the wheel bearing hub and and "little" off the wheel. haven't gotten around to it just yet, now I am thinkg of going to the SN-95 setup on my car. so if you want a really nice looking set of polished Probe GT wheels, I will make you a great deal on them.1986 SVO 1C

probe wheels
The later model Probe wheels will fit the bolt pattern and the backspace is correct (front wheel drive offset due to the Lincoln front end parts and rear disc brakes)..........BUT.............the wheels MUST be ground or machined to fit over the front hub to seat correctly on the rotors.Gary Alsobrooks
