I pulled my dash this week and underneath the dash pad, in the middle of the dash is a elongated, octane shaped piece of electronic equipement. What is it? The Amp for the Stereo? I could post a pic, but I figured it would be an easy answer for someone that knows because there is no other electronics under the pad except the speakers. And its not the speakers.

More than likely it's the amp. 84's had a different set up for a radio (etc) and I've only owned one 84 - and never had the dash out of it so I can't say for sure.
That's what I thought. The plug for the back of the Amplifier switch is gone, so its not hooked up. I thought I may hook a new amp up to the switch. Anybody know where I can get a plug?
