2002 mustang gt Wheel?

will they fit? there 17x8 and i got some 245/45zr17 some potenzas,

Yeah the wheels will fit on the car... 245/45/17 tires wont fit unless you go with a 215/45/17. That is what I was running on my car. In the pic you can see the wheel on the car. My car was lowered about an inch and it only rubbed when you hit a hard bump on the rear(inner lip). The front only rubbed when I backed up and had the wheel dead locked to the right. It rubbed on the bolt that holds the front bumper cover on... You will have to upgrade the front brakes to the sn95 model or newer. If you dont, then the front caps wont fit.

so the fronts fit, buy i can only run them with out center caps?

you can put them on without a problem... the tire size you stated is a little too big(my opinion) for the car and i think it will rub.. I have the same rims on mine and my car is lowered. the caps will not fit on the front rims due to the rotors, spindle setup on the svo, but will fit on the rear. You have to do the sn95 brake upgrade to make the front work... Do a search on that and it will tell you what it consist of in the sn95 brake swap. A lot than you think in the swap(my opinion again because I am done it)

what keeps the front center caps from going on the front? is it the dust cap for the bearings? does the cap sit flush with the face of the wheel?

you take the dust cap off and the cap will still not fit. The entire spindle assembly sticks out farther that the cap. I purchased my wheels before I knew that, or else, i wouldnt have gotten them and I would have gotten some other kind of wheels. The wheels are good looking on the car the more I look at them.
