Good luck. It took him a couple of days to reply, but he will reply.

All Webmaster biggest frustrations with any type of forum.
People wont search
People don't bother to read the FAQ's
The information you requested is in the FAQ section, and can also be found with a search.
I don't mean to bust on you Gary, but I try to let people know that they should search before asking stuff.Eric C

ERIC, DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY!
GOOD MORNING ERIC
I JOINED THIS FORUM AND SVOCA TO SEEK FREINDLY ADVICE AND TECH INFORMATION IN THE RESTORATION OF MY SVO. I ASKED A SIMPLE QUESTION AND I GOT A FREINDLY REPLY FROM RICH ( WHICH IS GREATLY APPRECIATED ) ABOUT 24 HOURS AGO! NOW I OPEN MY E MAIL TO GET YOUR REPLY WHICH IS NOT INFORMATIVE AND NOT FREINDLY. I GOT MY ANSWER SO WHY NOT LEAVE IT ALONE!! DO YOU HAVE TO PROVE A POINT OR SOMETHING! BECAUSE OF THE FREINDLY ADVICE I RECEIVED FROM OTHERS MY CAR IS ALMOST READY AND I'VE ALREADY STARTED LOOKING FOR A SECOND ONE. ISN'T THAT WHAT THE SVOCA IS ALL ABOUT?
THANKS
GARY

I'm sorry if you took my post the wrong way.
It's was meant to be a friendly reminder to all, to please search the board before asking questions, because a lot of them have been asked before, and answered.
I even said I wasn' t trying to bust on you, but it looks like you think I was.
I'm happy your car is about done, and you are looking for another, BUT, to keep things interesting, and enthusastic (this is also what the club is here for) it is nice to have new stuff, and not to ask the same old stuff again, and again.
I hope that you can re-read the post, and see that I was not trying to be negative, and I'm just trying to keep things "new". That is part of my job as webmaster, and why I make the big bucks (HA!)Eric C

FAQ's
One point to remember. We were all newbies at some time.
Many people are new to these forums. The first thing some eager to have his/her question answered newbie does is figure out how to post a question. Many newbies dont know what F.A.Q. even stands for and the link to FAQ's isnt always the most prominently displayed feature of a site.
If it's a quick easy answer i say whats the harm. I also think it fosters the willingness to help others thing.
If it's a long drawn out answer and you know it's atopic that has been covered beofre, politely suggest they check out the FAQ's.
CuddCurrently without a SVO or Mustang.
Mustangs I have Owned: 79 Cobra 2.3 Turbo, 88 LX 5.0 Notchback, 86 SVO 2R.

I dont have a problem with what went down, Like I said, It was a friendly reminder to everyone, not just Gary.
I probably didn't do such a good job of saying please use searches, and FAQ, but the point was made, and hey, you have all read it now
This is not a cardinal sin, and no body is getting kicked off for doing this, it is just more couterous to others, and it helps us keep the board more managable.
We are starting to accumuliate some good tech information, and other details. When we see something good, we try to put it in the FAQ section which is pretty easily seen on this site, as it is the first topic on the forum page. it also says FAQ - Frequently asked questions, so everyone knows what is in there.
To be honest, we tried to design this site for Newbies, because when you think about it, car guys (& gals) aren't always computer savy...Eric C
