  • Easy header question

I just recieved this shiny new header from Rod's and it pretty sweet. The fit and finish is very good however I will have grind away a little bit inside the collector where there is a bit of an obstruction. My question is this: I have a ext. Tial 38mm WG and I had the header built with a ext. WG flange for this Tial WG but the valve seat sticks out about .020'' and prevents a flush fit with the header on the WG flange. I did not recieve a gasket with the WG but after a little searching I found they do sell one seperately for the Tial WG. So do you all think this is correct? Do you think this valve seat is supposed to stick out and the gasket makes a good seal. This is my first experience with a aftermarket setup like this. There are pics to follow, hopefully you can see the gap between the two pieces.

Heres one of the WG flange WG arrangment, if you look close you should see the gap.

I know it's probably not his problem, but what does Rod say?

He should know unless this is the first one he's built with this set up.
