I have been running a full 3" downpipe, high flow cat and Magnaflow muffler system in CA since 1992 with no emissions problems or issues. The performance benefits are worth it!

of course, mufflers might add a little more to the price

Brad, I guess those are the brackets you're needing in the other thread? I thought you meant the ones behind the axle... Sorry!

Sorry for the delay in replying.

The exhaust hangar brackets came from Late Model Resto.

I like the car w/o mufflers, it had a dump before the rear axle w/o a muffler. With the exit now outback it sounds much better. The car is not a daily driver either, the exhaust is noticeable.

I have 3" exhaust on my turbo 'Bird. I think there is a pretty big gain in performance vs stock.

What the heck is that piece perpendicular/under the exhaust pipe inbetween the cat & and the muffler? Never seen one before.

Edit - sorry, I guess you did say it was on your T-bird.

Yeap, it holds the parking brake cable. Or you can view it as a redneck safety loop.

i run my comp car with a cat and NO muffler. there are louder things other than my svo such as harleys and the road roach ricers with that garbage can attached to the exhaust pipe. i do like the sound of my svo and apparently so does the fuzz!!
