  • Polished Wheels and New S-02's on.....

So I picked up a sweet set of polished wheels from SVO SIERRA over on turboford at Carlisle this weekend and was planning on buying some Kuhmos for them when I got home, when low and behold I run across a set of brand new Bridgestone S-03 Pole positions in Carlisle for just over $300 for the set...sweet.

Got them mounted up for $30 at Bj's and threw them on yesterday...the tires alone look loads better than the Goodyear RS-A'a it had on it and the polished wheels are real good lookers too.

In taking off the "old set" of wheels I discover that I have most likely 3 original wheels judging by the corrosion and brake dust etching and one that's just about perfect, the ink stamped numbers in a spot or two on the back side are even still visible.

I'm thinking about either refinishing these and saving them for a rainy day or powdercoating them black (I love black wheels) for now and putting them back on...I figure I can always have the powdercoating removed and refinished to stock if I decide later. What do you guys think?

At Carlisle I only saw 2 sets of wheels for sale, a totally hammered set for $500.."how about $400" as I walked away and a guy with a pretty nice looking set for a pretty not nice $800.

                  86's with springs

so im NOT crazy, thinkin mine should be a 78 cutlass (of course it MUST be the brown color with the tan vinyl roof) with three different rims on the 4 corners, jacked up in the back, Uhaul trailer hitch, with whitesnake blarin' in the kraco stereo...... cruzin down the trailer court lookin for my 15 y/o girlfriend who had a baby last year......

my 86 is very tall in the back too....

of course my 86 being FACTORY tall is okay !

You'll love the SO-3's in the rain. I've got a set on my 300ZXTT and can cruies at highway speed in moderate rain with no worries of hydroplaning or dancing over puddles.

I bought mine with polished wheels. Whoever did them did a half-assed job at it, you can see where he sanded them, and he missed a few places, like where some wheel weights were.

Nice looking SVO. The wheels look really nice in the pictures. I just polished a set of really nice wheels for my SVO. This is the second set I have polished. It is a real pain in the butt, but the results are worth the time (about 10 hours total).
