Modifying a cat back exhaust system

I know the catback systems don't work for our cars except the ATR. How much modification is needed to make an 86-93 GT cat back system work. Is it a minor change a muffler shop can easily make or is it more than that?

The pipe from the converter to the mufflers is the only difference .

Assuming you are looking at duals..
from the mufflers back is the same --

between the cat, and the mufflers is where you have to make the transission between one pipe to duals -- and this is where the fab-work comes in.

I think your best bet is to take your svo and the gt system to a muffler shop, one that does custom work, to get the answer. Thats usually something that needs a side by side comparision.
