stock downpipe bolt up fit problem...
I have an 86, I procured a 2.3 from a t-bird (88). While doing the swap, the exhaust seems to not fit. The 2 bolt flange on the car is 4 in. The bolt up on the reman. engine/turbo(h2o)cooled seems to be 2 bolt but 4 and a half in. HELP!!!john

Did you keep the IHI turbo from the TC motor? If so, the elbow may be different than the T3s on the SVO. I don't know this for a fact, but it's worth looking into...
Maybe someone else on the board will be able to tell us for sure..... Good luck. -
Tony, thanks for the reply. I did keep the IHI turbo, and am going to send the original to turbospecialties for some refurbishment and upgrade. A few SVO owners have suggested a 3 in. downpipe and 3 in. to the tailpipe. A concern is that the cost, but I am looking into it.Comment
