  • Who is driving up I-75?

This may be early but who's driving up from / through Georgia to the reunion? I'm trying to nail down some details and may need to hitch a ride up but not back. I'd be willing to pay for the gas for a ride.

    Up but not back?

HEHE, are you working some sort of deal?

I would need to work out things with another member but call me Sunday morning and we'll jabber about logistics. This could work out to be doable depending on cargo space.

You can leave your truck at my place in Ringgold and ride w/ me, Todd or Kerry. I might not have a passenger seat this year. I'm thinking of just putting my tool boxes on that side for convenience (wrench while driving ).

You don't have to pay for gas riding w/ me...I'm going that way anyway .

We always have room (if not a need) for another mechanic.

I will be right behind them in the Dodge to make sure we all get there and back. Todds car would be the best ride. 140's car is like sitting in a drum.
Time to clean up the engine bay!

It really does. One day we're gonna confirm it was a comp-prep and that's why there's not a shred of insulation in the thing!

                Reunion

Assuming I am not working then, I am planning on towing the comp prep to the Reunion. I will have room for one more SVO'er in my truck. I will keep James in the loop, etc if anyone needs a ride.

I'm driving up Thursday. I might take a side trip thru Deal's Gap or thru Suchs. Chris H. tell your dad to go fix DAL before it takes a nose-dive! Rick

Man I havent been to Deal's Gap in years. If I remember correctly its 311 mountain turns in a 12 mile stretch. Maybe you can hook up with us in Knoxville on Thursday?

Deal's Gap is fun but there's one on the North side of the park called Davenport Gap. Nobody goes there and it's just like Deal's Gap except at the top it turns into a gravel road. I'm not sure what time I'll be going thru Knoxville. I-75 from Asheville to Knoxville is Great. My all time favorite road is Hwy 51 off the BRP. It's great on a CBR but would be a real workout with a car! Anybody who has the chance should drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. N.C state troopers have silver/black cars with very low light bars, & the BRP is 45 mph! Enjoy the Ride!

I've made hotel reservations for Friday and Saturday night. I also see no 85.5's registered yet? Maybe I will have to bring one after all...
