  • Need spec help quick. On 84 SVO and Turbocoupe fuel pressure, Please Help!!

I know that the 84 Mustang SVO's and maybe the turbocoupe's used 2 fuel pumps, an low pressure in-tank and an in-line High Pressure. My question is, what is the operating pressure of the in-tank low pressure pump?

    Thanks

Actually I am looking for the 'psi' or amount of pressure this pump delivers.

        Good luck!

All the fuel pumps are rated in lph...unless someone wants to do a pressure test on it, but you wouldn't know whether it is correct or not, unless it was a new one...

The original stock one, as stated above is 88lph...I believe. I know the later in tank ones were.

May I ask the reason for the question, as it it may help get you the right answer?

Otherwise, I would ask this question on turboford.org!

the in-tank pump is not really made to hold pressure.....

it's job is just to keep enough fuel in the line for the high pressure pump to pump back to the rail.

If you're not getting enough pressure at the rail, your best bet is to replace the 2 pump system with the single in-tank pump.

Is there a replacement intank pump that will work with the SVO mount? Or do I have to get that from a salvage yard and swap it out from my tank?
