my 84 svo boost 16 psi no matter what postion i have the switch inside the car ( you know the premium fuel or reg fuel switch) what could be wrong with it the light on the switch comes on and there power there.

Most likely, your boost control solenoid is not functioning. The solenoid acts as a bleeder to give you full boost when open and 10psi when closed. They apparently fail open to give you full boost. I wouln't worry about it unless you really need to limit your boost.

Mine has been this way since I bought it back in 1991. If/when I get a "bad" tank of gas, I just put the switch on "regular" to limit the ignition advance and control the boost with my right foot.

You'd probably get some quick responses from putting a WANTED ad up for an original (good/used) piece. I'm sure there's plenty of them out there sitting on the self because it was replaced by an afternarket adjustable valve.

Ok, wait a second. This doesn't make any sense. Are you saying that you want a replacement (stock) bcs because yours won't limit boost? Besides, on a stock 84 SVO boost should peak at 14 psi anyway. I'm not quite sure I get your question.

            boost vavle

ok i get about 16 psi boost but when i put the regular fuel ( the switch in the car prem fuel or reg fuel switch) the boost is still at 16 psi, i was told but people in the chat room that the boost vavle is bad

could be a bad boost controler, or a just a bad hose to the controler...

BTW: he is probably reading on the stock boost gauge, so it probably is 14 psi... you know how accurate they are....

Are you sure it is even there under the hood? If you get rid of the BCS or disconnect the hoses and replace it with just a single piece of hose, you get 15-16 PSI at all times. Possible that someone yanked it.

Also in the same idea, if the hose has dry rotted and broken before the valve, the same thing happens.

The hole inside the "T" fitting is what regulates the PSI. The vavle or BCS is just on on off valve.

well let me ask you and see if you think its the vavle or maybe a relay no matter what postion the switch is in i get 15 psi of boost the light does come on on the switch. ive heard it might be a relay but how would i check them

it (the boost controler) should have 2 hoses running to it...

the way the boost controler is setup, if the relay is bad, you should get 9 psi boost, not 15...

                        boost vavle

its got one going in one going out of it so do you think its the boost vavle that is bad ? i kind of like it when it would only boost 10 psi in the regular mode and 15 psi in the premium mode
