Do you think a muffler with a 3inch in and two three inch outs would work as a Y pipe type set up?
That way you wouldn't need any more mufflers out back of the y/muffler.

I ended up going with two of the short 3" magnaflow mufflers on my car. The muffler shop offered the option you are suggesting and actually had pics of it on a Turbo GT. I seriously thought about it but decided to go with the two mufflers since I was replacing the tail pipes also.

Unless you are hung up on the duals look I wouldnt bother it is just extra weight and work. The single look is growing on me finally.

There's also a single muffler dual system (Borla?) where the "Y" splits just ahead of the rear axle. Eyelawdoc or Fellenlong may have a pic.

The exhaust Pat is talking about is a stainless Bassani. It has one line into the muffler, one out and then Y's into two pipes after the axle and out the back for a dual look.

AT6SVO also has a similar custom bent setup except that he doesn't run any muffler. He has posted pics of his system on this board.
