  • Any Tech Sessions?

Eric, Mike: What's the scoup on Tech Sessions? Are we going to do any this year?

I'll have dial indicators and magnetic bases for the cam timing exercise. I'll bring an ETS cam. If anyone brings the usual favorites (a stocker, a ranger, a 237, an ultimate cam, etc.), we can plot all the numbers on the spreadsheet to compare and post the results here after the reunion.

The dew wipes for the install are already at SVO Erics house (at least I THINK they're still there!).

I'm sure that almost any subject that comes up could be fodder for an impromptu session.

I was planning on video taping any tech session for future use, and make copies for anyone interested.

In that case, some of us will have to wear disguises. Memo to self: Pack the Groucho glasses with moustache.

I'll film it in Black and White for nostalgic purposes also.

            I am bring the head...

I am bringing the head (figure I can bring a short block too)

I'm now thinking of loading the trailer (so you can use whatever you need) like Alum Head, Sperco and other cores, PMS computer,
            etc etc

Pat in LA said there was a thread on parts being brought to reunion for sale! Can't find that.

WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT PEOPLE ARE INTRESTED IN/NEED??
I figure I can't list the inventory (as I need prices)
            I figure I can't bring it all
I figure I will have to have a credit card processing phone-as some won't have cash or know that there will be parts to be left.

Rob, depending on how many folks want to participate and how many cams there are to compare, having two of everything may be a good idea.

But im warning you now...mine is still sitting in the box, so it will basically be me and you asking "what next" and then reading the instructions to eachother....

I'll bring my lawn chair to watch that, but I may need a seat belt for it.

Actually I may be passing through Lexington early afternoon Thursday, but I'll have Bonnie with me. Keep me informed as things develop.

Guys, remember that we need one each of the most popular cams to check and degree. Let's figure out who will bring what beforehand.

We'll need just the #1 valves in the head on the block with very light springs that can be installed on the fly before the class. DRAGPAK has a spring compressor that he's willing to show up with. I may make up some shims to simulate for everyone what a decked block and surfaced head can do to cam timing, just as an example.
