Has anybody ever stripped the clearcoat off their wheels without damaging the machined finish, and if so how?

thanks for the info. I'm going to try my buffer I think and see what happens. The slots are the worst because of the brake dust.

Wal-Mart has an Orange based cleaner that does a good job on brake dust. It's like "Orange Blast" or something, inexpensive, too compared to others that don't do jack!
