Need help w/ Koni's
The front Koni's from my SVO are shot. I thought about going the used route but I think I'd rather be safe than sorry. I've heard about svo guys using koni yellows, where can you get those from? In california mustang's catalog they have an ad for koni's and svo's are in there, but the picture shows yellows...?? Are they selling original replacement reds, or yellows? If anyone could point me in the right direction where to get some, and hopefully quick- I would appreciate it! -Mark

KONI does not make "Yellow" Sport shocks for an SVO. I already looked into it. They said that if i want the "yellow" i would have to send the shocks to them to get revalved!1984 SVO (turbo) sold

beats me... I e-mailed several places including koni and they all said that the only konis i could get for an SVO were "REDS"
anyways... I am sending my used "Reds" out to get revalve to "yellow" specs1984 SVO (turbo) sold

As stated, SVO's came with Koni Red shocks and struts. The correct part numbers are as follows:
Front: 8741-1006
Rear: 8040-1026
They can be rebuilt for free if you are the original owner or at a cost of (I'm using my memory here) 135.00 each. I spoke with the customer service guy at Koni and he suggested that you can probably buy them at or near the cost of rebuilding after you factor in shipping.
