  • Start new job tomorrow... Reunion or not... That is the question!

I have a couple people who've offered use of turbos, so no money would be immediately out of pocket there.
I would need some help thrashing to get it back together, but from what I've seen fellow hoosiers do, I don't think that's a problem. We'd probably have it running in a weekend, or less.
I could really use a weekend of stress relief after the year I've had with my job situations, and this would be the ticket. I'd only have to put insurance on it for a month. I usually park it for the winter after October anyway.
So what is everyones feelings? Would you do it? My wife would drive her jeep probably, just for comfort...
    Help!?
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

Well, I've got the 35# injectors in, and mounted the fuel rail back on. I had the gaskets for the intake and throttle body and put them somewhere were they wouldn't get damaged, and now I can't find them. LOL
Guess I'll swap in the LA3 tonight and get the gaskets tomorrow and put the rest of the intake back on tomorrow. Here's the to-do list from there.
        get turbo and install
either rig the exhaust the way it was, or buy a stainless flex pipe to splice in. (It's really rigged right now!)
        See if it runs.
        reinstall center console
        install headliner
        call insurance company and reinsure
Cross fingers and hit the road.

Seriously, though. For a little background
The seals in the turbo went out, and oil spewed into the intake and exhaust systems.
Will it just burn it off? I have new plugs, but figure I'd burn the oil out on these, and if they foul out, I'd put in the new ones.
I cleaned all of the oil out of the upper and lower intake and the exhaust manifold, but am sure there's more in there. That thing was smokin'!

          Oil

If the oil got in the exhaust it will take a good long while till it stops smoking. The Cat and muffler make for a good oil reservoir. It should clean up by the time ya get to Richmond.
