Will 2.5" bolt up to stock Y pipe?

Will a 2.5" Dynomax ultra flow cat back system bolt up to the existing Y pipe or will it need fabrication? Is the factory Y pipe 2.25 or 2.5"?

Originally 2.25" - however I would think a good muffler shop could make it work without a lot of hassle.

I have 2.5" exhaust on my 84 i bought a replacement y pipe from a 86 through midas and they bolted right up and i have had mine apart it can be a pain sometimes but yes it will work but find a good muffler shop first.

2 1/4" ID to 2 1/2"OD exhaust pipe adapters ave available at most parts stores for just a couple bucks.
