    Shopping:

Huge shopping center located off of I-75 at exit 108. It's about 15 minutes from Richmond. Stores include: Target, Garden Ridge, Kohl's, Goody's and others.

Richmond has a mall that is located directly across from the Saturday Show/shine.

There is also a COAD (cast off against drugs) event at Lake Reba on Saturday for kids under 16. It will have Fire and Police demonstrations, K-9 unit demonstration, live music, face painting, remote control race car track, climbing wall/obstacle course and pets from the Madison County Animal Shelter. This is a free event. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m in Softball field A. If you want to attend and need directions let me know. I will probably be taking my boys.

There are several other places around Central Kentucky that would be a great way to spend the day. Check with the hotel for more information.

Just trying to give the ladies some ideas so they don't have to hang around the parking lot all day Saturday.

Everyone stay safe on their trip to the SVO event. We'll see you all this weekend.

My wife is the president of the SVOHCA.

            "SVO Haters Club of America".

It's a new club, initially began when I started the next generation of mods on my car earlier this year, it has grown to be huge. It's actually the overwhelming theme in my home right now!

Two newly confirmed members that joined with extreme enthusiasm would be SVOBrown's wife and Todd's wife. I believe there are at least another 30 or so silent members.

Sad to say, if they start a website my husband might sign up. He refers to the SVO as The Heap, and not lovingly like I do!

I think Pat's wife will be joining your club too,

I talked to him yesterday, and right after the AC quit, she said "I HATE THESE CARS"

im still warming my wife to the idea..

                        of loving these cars......

but i DO keep reminding myself AND her that SHE is the one the told me to go buy the SVO.........

AND she did recently authorize me to spend the $1250.00 to get the car fully repainted after the body shop made the offer.

                          wife's club

The only mustang my loving wife ever told me to get rid of was my 1st SVO. I did'nt know anybody to help me keep it running and it broke 2 timing belts within 6 months(both times we had to walk a good distance to a phone at night). So I traded it in for a 20th anniversary gt350 84 model. I hated to get rid of that car and finally met Ryan(svodoc) and got the bug again and bought Gary Alsobrooks car. Been having fun in it ever since.

I guess I got lucky too.....the SVO is one of the few cars that I have been told by my wife that I cannot sell....unless of course it is a good amount(everything has it's price) but I did turn down a $10K offer 3 months ago...so that's not the magic number After all, it's paid for and not eating anything :p

But she does enjoy hanging out with the other wives...that's part of the Reunion experience that everyone gets together to do something of interest. Unfortunately she cannot attend this year, work would not let her off for the needed days.

Like Paul, the 86 1C,CP will never be sold unless it is a matter of life and death, Michelle and I flew up to Boston and drove it back to Chattanooga. She considers it one of the best trips we ever took together. The CP is one special car to her, she has always supported my car crazieness, I am a very lucky, blessed man. You just have to find the right one who understands cars. When Paul took the 93 cobra to rebuild it she wanted to know why I wanted 500 + hp, I explained it was like her needing different shoes for different outfits, the light bulb went off, she understood completely!
