will 17x9 rims fit on a stock svo??

i was first going to get a set of speedline saleen wheels but the seller was offered more then i was willing to pay . but went down to my local mustang performance shop and saw a set o 03/04 cobra aniversery wheel (i think thats what their called??)

the sellers asking 600 with no tires their 17x9 i dont know the offest? will they fit what tire size??
no suspension mods have been made to my svo .

i found some info on the wheels the ones im looking at are dark greay with a metal finish lip

I'm not super familiar with those wheel's but I dont think they will clear the hub on the stock brake's/spindle's. If they do I doubt the center cap would it.

You will prob need to either.


Upgrade to SN95 brake's or
Have the wheel's machined to fit the hub.

Measure the hub area on the wheel and compare it to the stock SVO hub.

I don't even know if this is possible or has been tried before... Who works in a tire & wheel store? I remember selling some tires a couple of years ago to someone? Was that you Rich / SVO4PWR2? Can you or someone post a pic of the R model center? If my 92 coupe wasn't buried in storage I'd get one of them. I'd like to see a comparison of the SVO center versus the R model wheel center. Do they both press in from the outside? It's been so long since I mounted the coupes wheels & tires that I don't remember... just curious.
