I have 245/50/16's all the way around on the car I just bought. They are on the stock wheels. It looks like they may rub the rear wheel openings and the front looks like they have rubbed on the struts. Has anyone used or had problems with a wider tire size other than stock on the stock wheels???

I had a problem with rubbing with that same set up. The tires will rub unless you roll the rear fender lip. The fronts are gonna rub while turning during hard braking but the strut will be ok as far as any major rubbing, they will rub just a little bit. 235/40/17's with stock offset seem to fit real nice w/out any rubbing issues."Team Cobra Kai"

Re: tire size question
They should not rub at all, I am running 245/45/16 on stock wheels with no problem. Your 245/50/16 should be slightly taller, maybe 1/2 inch. The marks you see on the front struts are not from tires, they are rub marks from the dust boot.Originally posted by dagenham
