  • SVPU Cookout Friday Oct. 25th!

For everyone coming to the Reunion, we are having a cookout at SVPU Central in Odenville, AL on Friday from Noon to about 6-7pm prior to heading out for drag racing! Everyone is welcome, this is the warmup for the great weekend ahead! Come enjoy some southern hospitality and maybe watch some BMX racing(if we have willing participants show up with bikes ). I'll post directions later or you can email me for directions.

What I would like to get is a head count of how many people think they are going to show up for this so we can be prepared...

          we will be there

The STL wrecking crew will be there.

We are a bunch of twenty-somethings and a 59 year old that act like teenage boys.

As long as the bikes fit in the truck....

I will be there. I'll be workin on its tune up Thursday night. Hope the front desk doesn't mind.

Hey Eric, just remove the front wheel and turn the handle bars. That is how my spoked ride fits.

Who is bringing the cast plaster and tape?? I have a feeling we may need some.

84 SVO sold, have 7 weeks to make 85 run...

Just left the bank where I turned over the keys from my '84 SVO to its new owner. This means I have 6 weekends between now and the Reunion to make my 85 run. I need to post some pics of progress the next few weeks.

Should be fun. I bought this car (as a "parts car") back in 96 as a package deal with my 84. It had been crunched in the front, had no motor, no seats, no steering rack. It has not moved under its own power since 1992.

So, I need to get the new motor and tranny in it, bolt on some sheetmetal, and put in a drivers seat in time to drive it the 500 miles to Alabama.

So when you see a black '85 with silver fenders, a gray hood, and a canyon red nose show up next month you will know it is my saved "parts car" coming...

                WAY COOL!!

We always need to have a multi-colored car there, just for some fun.

                            Dinner & drags

                            Paul,

Me and a friend making the drive out will be there.
Are the drag races SVO specific? Or is it just a normal night at the strip? Does it cost money?

It's NOT SVO specific, but they are opening the track a wee bit early for the Reunion Participants. Yes, it does cost money. $10 - One price for all.. watching or drag or both...it's still $10 to enter the track.

SVOTy listed info on this under this Reunion topic heading....might check with him as he's doing ALL the arranging on this.
