  • Search feature has changed

I used the search feature this morning, and I think something has changed.

When you type in what you are searching, and then get to the page with all the threads that pertain to your query, all is well.
But when you browse through one of the threads, the "key word(s)" used to be highlighted in orange or red weren't they? Well, they aren't now. I don't think it has to do with me on the work's computer either.
Eric, am I hallucinating here or what?

Um ... I saying hallucinating. That or your monitor needs a new color cartridge.

Can ya guess which word I did a SEARCH on?

I clicked on your link there, and yes, the word color comes up in red.
My search was for K&N....and I put the * as the 4th digit. Now, when I go there to see the threads for K&N, the letters K&N don't show up in RED. I am guessing that happens because it doesn't see the * in the text in the thread.
No biggie, I learned something, that's all.
      Thanks for the response Bud.

Well, I've never done a 3 letter word search because you have to use the *. Might explain it.

I've tried to do a 3 character word search in the past too and it wouldn't let me.

            Lon,

What I (and Bud) meant, was that you have to use a 4 character word search.

            I used K&N with a * on the end......such as K&N*, to satisfy the 4 character minimum.

When I clicked on the resulting threads, it never highlighted the "K&N" in red like normal. My suspision is, is that the K&N was not highlighted in red because the "software" doesn't recognize the * in the search to highlight it in RED.

No biggie, as I found the part number for the filter..RE0930, went to Advance Auto parts, and ordered the filter........it will be here tomorrow! All is well.

I really didn't mean to create a booger here.

No worries. Next time - call Gator. He has a booger collection and it will be on display in the fortress of solitude thru December.
