  • just picked up some new wheels

i found a add for a set of 10 th aniverasry wheels with tires (good year 275/40/17)
same tire size all around .85% tread left.
He was asking 600 which i thought was a good price but saw that they havnt sold in a few weeks so i contacted him and asked whats the lowest he wouuld take?
he said i could have them for 500.00 so i said great ill pick them up today . on the phone he said they were in perfect condtion NO MARKS OR CURB RASH . once i drove 40 min to pick them up i saw that one rim has a 5 in. curb mark kinda bad, stuff like that really bothers me. i told him it was a little to big of a mark for my liking and told him i didnt want them . he then said it was his fault cause he told me the rims were in perfect condtion and he was willing to knock off some money . after some debating i got away with the rims for 420.00 . im happy with my new rims and can wait to put them on .!! i also splurged and picked up a sn95 spindel kit(130.00) to assure my rims would fit properly

dont take off the quads. 275's rolled fine ont he back of my car when I had the 10th wheels on there. they stuck out a little far and I had to roll the fenders. I thought it looked great with them back there. mostly preference though.

also, the fronts were sticking out a little bit. I would go with like a 255/40 for the fronts. or even all the way around if you dont like the 275's in back.

            tire size

id love to leave the 275 in the rear if i can
i dont have any rear seats cause of my roll cage so i dont have to worry about extra weight in the rear .

i think ill swap the 275 in the fron for some 255 thanks

well iput the wheels on and im not too happy with the results but i can live with them .

                the rears 17x9 with 275/40/17
seem to stick out just a bit past the fender
the front which have them same tires size fit ok and their no rubbing with the 275 in front but will probably have some caster/camber wear. front cap wont fit on the rim of cousr but with the dust cap painted black u cant tell.
