My Contour fan helped the a/c more than anything. The factory fan is pathetic for drawing air theough the condenser.

Here is a pic. It is a two speed fan, I switch the wires for summer and winter and use a 70A boesh relay.

90lx86svo, is that the 4-cyl Contour fan? My SVTC had a dual fan setup that kicked in the two fans in at different temps/needs (i.e.- A/C = both fans).

In any case, my factory fan has worked fine, since I added a manual over-ride switch. If I sit and idle, I flick the fan on and temps stay below "R" in NORMAL on the stock guage, even with the A/C on. I think my center air vent temps get up into the high 30's when I am sitting still and have hit 29 deg F when moving, so I see no 'real' need for an aftermarket fan. Just my $0.02.

    Thanks all for your thoughts.

I'm searching still what to do for myself. I have no cooling issues for now. I'm running a 93 cobra radiator with stock 86 SVO fan. No AC. I recently got a shipment of aluminum and would like to build a fan shroud with a nice pair of fans mounted to it. My big concern is what CFM is required for my situation? Also I'll have a water heat exchanger in front of it increasing the air temp entering the radiator.

Tom's fan is what I been leaning toward for a while. I spoke to him and he just installed the system this last year. Good long story. I'm not sure louvers are a good idea. What do you think the reason is behide this?

    Thoughts?
