got a combination done that will work for the front so they do not stick out (thanks Paul), still have to do the other side and rear and mount 3 more tires and test drive it.

so far here is what the fron Pass side looks like with 18 x 9 and 245/40 zr18

a combo of svo/fox and sn95 up front.

I spent more money adjusting the front to fit the wheels right than I paid for the wheels........ go figure

The overall diameter will be less - 25.72 to 25.33. I think the 40's will look better also.

On the rears - your backset is around 6.772 right? What kind of clearance do you have to the quad shocks?

Double check your math. I get:

    235/45-18 is 26.33" tall Did you use a 17" wheel? That's the 1" difference.
    245/40-18 is 25.72" tall

Tire Rack has all this info on their site as well.

Thanks for the correction - you are right, the 45 series tire it is a taller tire by .61".

Looking at the pictures of your car, the 235/45/18 would probably help fill the wheel well a bit more. Either that, or cut those nice H&R springs.

With an overall tire diameter +.86" greater than stock (225/50/16 tire) and a 1 inch drop from the springs, you would figure those tires would tuck up to the fender a little higher.

Nice thread Troy. Your car looks nice!

WHat did you have to do suspension wise to make these tires and rims fit?
