Where did you get the chin spoiler on the front? My 1986 doesn't look like that so I'm asking. Your towing stories have prompted this project.
Sorry - haven't been on here in a while - the chin spoiler is an aftermarket replacement Mach1 design. I don't remember exactly where it was sourced, but I'm thinking LMR? I just googled it and LMR is showing one for $59.99 right now....

I'm glad you got around to my question but no one should expect an answer. Especially from @Ken Potter when you get on his bad side. Ask me how I know

I've heard the judicious application of a heat gun (hair dryer) is required to stretch it on. Did you have much trouble fitting it? Has anything changed functionally or is it only cosmetic?

Swapped out the generic black mud flaps that I've had on the car for ever with a set of Ford Motorsport flaps.
    Before:

    After:

    Front flaps as well:

    Thanks Ken!
We did a small local fox body Mustang car show / BBQ this past weekend. Had my SVO there:

3 SVO's in attendance (should have been 4, but Paul from TF got into an accident the week before the show.

    Then a cruise:

Certainly good to see a couple SVO's out in the wild, rare sight these days. We have a local Fox platform show coming up on 10/6 here and weather permitting I will be there with mine. I certainly hope Paul wasn't injured in the accident and his SVO is repairable.

Paul is good and his 2R SVO will be Ok after some body and paint work. He and his wife still ended up attending the BBQ but with his alternate turbo:

Changed the oil and filter in the SVO yesterday. I've put about 500 miles on it this summer, not too bad. I used to do 3-4k miles each season before I retired it from summer daily driver duties.

Unfortunately, there are not too many days left this season....

So the SVO has been in hibernation since the above posts. I have a few projects that I want to get done before spring, we'll see.

Anyway, I was cleaning up some old parts stored in my basement and ran across this old arm rest from my 82 GT project:

It was nasty, but no cracks. The one in my SVO has developed a split in the top. So I cleaned it several times with laquer thinner and some paper towels:

    Then masked it and painted:

    New vs old:

I installed the "new" arm rest in the SVO yesterday.

Looks a lot better for sure. Is that black and not gray or is the lighting funny?

Thanks Ted. It's charcoal gray, SEM 15303.
Same paint I've used on several other interior parts over the course of my ownership.
The lighting just makes it look darker than normal (no flash on any of my pics).
