    Primer is on...

And the "snowball effect" - I debated about removal of the power brake booster. It was a PITA but I'm glad it did. The underside was pretty messed up due to fluid leaks. Here is a shot (bottom side) after cleaning / sanding:

And here is with Eastwood's rust converter applied (needs 48 hours to completely dry):

Old man winter is back ~ 34 outside tonight, so no paint. It's supposed to warm up later this week so I'm planning to shoot the paint maybe Wed night.

Probably next week. I'm hoping to get the engine bay re-assembled over the weekend (install the PB booster/master cyl, steering rack, wiring harness, etc.).

Which car Chris, Blackie?? You just did this to your BM Capri, so you know how much work is involved.... Sad part with my car is that the engine bay makes the rest of the car really look like a POS

Don't scratch that new paint when you put everything back in!! Now you will have something else to clean/worry about

    Been busy -

Engine bay is pretty much ready to go:

Moved the block from the basement up to the garage, started assembly with the head studs (note the lack of coolant temp sender - ugh):

After a few nights in the garage this week (and some head scratching / parts scavenging), the slug is about ready to drop in:

Thought this was sort of a cool shot:

Here's one that I can't figure out - the gold VC is the one that was on this car when I bought. The polished one is what is going on this time. I need to get the breather hole opened up ....

It's stupid crap like this that's slowed down my progress. Hope to get this thing running by the end of the weekend - wish me luck!
