Nice numbers. What was the smoke from under the car?

I think it was oil coming out of the trans or, since it was running rich, it might have been leaking out of the exhaust...

So how high can I safely take a T3/T4, ported E6 and standard exhaust? I guess if it goes "POP" then that's too high?

Good question. The way I understand it, it's not the amount of boost that will pop the head gasket. It's if it runs lean and detonates that's when it'll blow.

I actually had that happen to me this year on the same boost I dynoed on. Shifted into 4th at the 1/8th mile and it started detonating like I'd never heard, then before I could lift, BOOM! Blew the drivers side of the #4 out...

For the majority of this answer this is correct. The surfaces of the head and block need to be true as well as using a somewhat decent head gasket.

Chuck, it depends on the trim of the compressor as well. Remember that the volume of air a hybrid can push is more than a stock T3. Most information that I have seen shows that you will push more HP with a bigger turbo at the same and maybe even less boost pressure. I know I was running out of fuel at 18psi of boost with my 50-trim hybrid on the dyno a couple of years ago, but that was likely due to my stock FPR not letting in any additional fuel. Now that I have an adjustable FPR, I will have to put it back on the dyno to see where I can push it too now.

BTW, Craig, nice torque numbers with the stock unit!

What does detonation sound like? Anybody have a sound bite?

3" Stinger exhaust (from turbo to rear bumper), K&N conical filter stuck right on the VAM, LA3, brown tops, single in-tank 255 lph Walbro, Kirban AFPR, unported E6. Initial fuel pressure is at 58 psi, 20* initial timing (I think my timing light is broke or the marks are messed up), fuel is 93 with a 1/4 tank of 112.

Just some advise. Or it maybe Bang, bang, bang, Boom!... Pissshhhh!
Yep, I only setup like this if I'm going to the track, otherwise I turn it down to 20 psi.
