Clutch issues that are keeping me from the Reunion

I put a new clutch in the car and after assembling everything, the clutch fork wants to pop off the pivot ball. After thrashing on it last night with a friend, pulling the transmission and rechecking everything, I tried putting some washers behind the pivot ball. This is keeping the fork from popping off the ball, but the clutch isn't disengaging, and it's adjusted as tight as I can get it. This is keeping me from coming to the Reunion today, and unless you guys have any other ideas for me to try tonight, it looks like I'll be sporting the F250 tomorrow. Any suggestions?

I was using a plastic Autozone throwout bearing before, now I'm using the new one that came with the clutch. I compared the two, the Autozone one is barely thicker than the new one. I didn't know you could get new clutch forks and pivot balls? Neither looked damaged (although I guess it could be hard to tell if the fork is bent).

Usually the head of the ball wears down and the pocket inside the arm wears letting it get out of alignment. How does the sleeve on the output shaft of the trans look? If it is letting the throwout bearing turn to one side it could also cause it to pop off.

You mean on the input shaft? It's good, probably only has 5000 miles on it. Where can I get a new clutch fork? All I can find are 5.0 forks.

If I had to I would try to get a throwout bearing like the one you were using. That should be the only varible in this.

With the flat part on the pressure plate fingers? I had a friend push the clutch pedal in while I watched the fork, and everything seems to be moving like it's supposed to. It feels like the fork is pushing the pressure plate fingers in, but the friction area isn't moving.

Well I just talked to the guy who built the clutch for me, and he's thinking the disk could be warped and wants me to ship the disk and pressure plate to him. So, I'm on my way, SVOless.
