Agreed! Once you get all the running car bits in there, any blemishes you can see will probably all be hidden. Unless you're wanting a 100-pointer, don't worry about it. Get the thing on the ground and under it's own power!!!

Of course, I'm one to speak. :-)

Chad, that is awesome! I too was surprised you had enough patients to wait it out. Glad to see Bo followed through and didn't just disappear.

Thanks guys. It did take a lot of patience to wait this out. I have never had to deal with this kind of business. He gets your money up front so you are left with the waiting game. I am just glad to have finally received my order. Hopefully he will get things straight with his customers and his business. There aren't many custom shops that do this kind of work so we need for them to stay in business.

    SVO's: 86 2A BWD,
If all goes well the car will finally be in the paint shop next month. I took my front and rear bumpers to a professional bumper shop to get restored. Should have them back this Monday. I got the hood, rear hatch, rear spoiler, sail panels, side trim, and spats either soda blasted or bead blasted. Now to get the rest of the car up to the paint shop. I still have a long way to go. I keep getting side tracked buying NOS parts. lol

Chad, I have an 86 2R Comp Prep car I am working on. It has a blown head gasket. Does that mean I may have a blown turbo also ? I have the head off, and the turbo removed..how do I check it? Secondly, where did you get your stainless steel coolant lines and what do they cost?
    Thanks, Craig

    SVO's: 86 2A BWD,
Craig, when my car blew the head gasket it apparently sent some pieces through the turbo causing my turbine wheel to be damaged according to Evergreen turbo. So, with that said I am unsure if it is common for this to happen so you would have to check your turbo for damage( visually looking at the turbine wheel) or have someone that knows how to look at it check it for damage. I wanted to upgrade my turbo at the time of my engine tear down anyway which is the only way I found out my turbo was damaged. As far as the stainless steel coolant lines I had a company called scrprecision.com build them for me. They are located in Tampa Florida. It cost me $250.00 dollars. I sent my old coolant lines to them and they made the new ones in about a week and sent both my originals and the stainless steel ones back to me. I know it sounds expensive but I could not find anyone locally to reproduce them so I had to search for someone and they are the only company that I found that would do them. I hope this helped. Looking forward to hearing back and seeing some progress pictures of your Comp prep. If you already haven't started one you need to start a project thread.

Thanks, Chad..I have been watching your progress thread with great interest. I am currently trying to do a cleanup under the hood, while I have the head off ( I had it checked and it was ok other than the gasket ). I am going to have the turbo checked and will let you know if there is any damage...meanwhile keep up the good work. !!!

I am trying to find an E6SE 9430 AA exhaust manifold for an upgrade over my E3

    SVO's: 86 2A BWD,
Thanks Craig. This has been a slow process for me. I keep getting side tracked with buying parts. I originally was going to have my car in the paint shop months ago but things happen. As far as the E6 manifold, have you tried this thread http://www.svoca.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26248.
I called these guys and bought two of their E6 manifolds. I am not sure if they still have any but it would be worth the call.
