    SVO's: Original Owner 86 9L

    Clutch Recommendation

It's time to replace the clutch on my 86 SVO. I'm the original owner and have put 80,000 miles on it since new. Since it only gets driven on weekends and to local Mustang club meets I don't need a heavy duty clutch. The original survived what I would consider aggressive street driving and two driving schools at Mid-Ohio, so a similar clutch should be sufficient. Autozone has one for $105 with a lifetime warranty, Spec for almost $300 for a Stage 1. I would prefer a USA made clutch, even Motorcraft if one exists. Let me know what has worked for you. Thanks!

I did a Spec Stage 2, no additional pedal effort noticed. Smooth engagement.
