    1995 Cobra Wheels

Does anyone know if the factory 1995 Cobra Wheels will fit an 84 SVO? not Cobra R's, have a Buddy of mine that was going to bring me some from out of state and would hate for him to come and wheels not fit, any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated

They will fit, but you will rub the rears on dips, best to roll the fender lips to prevent cutting the sidewall of your tire. The 94-96 Cobra wheels are all the same (i.e.- 17x8" with 30mm offset). The 94-95 units have silver painted insets and the 96-97 units have the inserts painted charcoal gray. I used to run 96 Cobras (see below) with 245/45's and only had rub when I hit decent dips.

Oh Ok, Thanks for the Heads Up Ted, these are the Gray Charcoal ones for sure, I looked online High and Low on the Web to find any pics of an SVO with those wheels and could not find any, yours looks sweet, is your car stock height, asking cause mine is lowered on Eibach Springs, I also do Have Tri Bars, Bullitts and the Waffle 16's I never tried on, really just liked the Cobras

All the pics above are with the stock springs. I did run part of the 2010 season with Eibach Pro's with these wheels and the rear rubbing did increase a slight bit, but only with some weight in the back of the car. I am now running the same size tires, but on TSW Nurburgring wheels that have a 35mm offset, which pulls them inboard an additional 5mm (~3/16"), so I have a tiny bit more clearance to the rear fender lips now. You can see some of those wheel pics in my project thread here:

    http://www.svoca.com/forum/showthrea...s-and-counting

From what I remember the tri-bars have the same dimensions as the Cobra's (i.e.- 17x8/30mm offset).

I found an action shot of my car with the Cobra's from a track day back in 2009, they do look good in motion as well and help keep brake temps down as compared to the stock wheel.

Glad we could help and thanx for the compliments on the TSW's! Those Cobra wheels look right at home on your car, as the insets are an almost perfect match to your car's color.

Thanks GAboy, finding out that wheels options are pretty slim with these cars unless you change susp out, but don't wanna do to this car being that it's too clean, like they say, "If it aint broke Don't Fix It" right Lol like the Stang Wheels you have in Avatar Pic those are 16's correct?
