light separated.. what to glue it back with

if you've kept up with new threads, you know I was clear-coating my the lights on the front of my SVO.

One of the inner lights separated from the housing when I removed it.

What's the best 'stuff' to glue them back together ??

Both of my repro inner lights came apart at the same time. IIRC I used Permatex 1 minute epoxy. That was 4 years ago.

cool, thanks. I was considering some clear RTV, something I might be able to remove at a later time if needed.

I used clear silicon that's used for sealing aquariums. It is soft enough so that you can remove in the future if needed.

Why would you have to remove it later??

sometimes the inside reflective surfaces lose their reflectiveness...

can't pick up a set of these from the Ford dealer any more, so being able to pop them apart and work on those insides might be the only way to keep lights in my cars.
