What about the cat debris? It came out of the DS tail pipe. I would pull the mufflers to make sure there isn't any more in there blocking the exhaust.
Glad you found the issue.

well that is part 2... it's still missing a bit at 3-4k RPM
I suspect that may be cat related. exhaust will have to come off for sure, but at least it's mobile again!
PSA -- don't use no-name TFI's

My new to me 84 had an issue where it would go into "limp mode" after a hot restart ... certainly felt like a bunch of ignition timing was being pulled. So we put a fresh Motorcraft TFI on it a few weeks ago and it seems good since.
cheers

No-name TFI's should only be used for 'short-term' emergency use...don't expect them to last as long as the Ford TFI. Also, NEVER forget to put the thermally conductive grease between the dizzy and module as it won't last very long regardless of the brand. I am sure the cat chunks are not helping things and need to find a new home in the dump.

I had no idea it had a no-name TFI in it... so just passing along the love![]()

Shoot, I used a non-Motorcraft in mine earlier this year.
I'll have to swap that out before I start driving it next season.
