    SVO in catalog print!

Looks like our car has now popped up front and center on the cover of the latest catalog from Ron Francis Wiring! Pretty cool if you ask me, would be interesting to see the full details on that particular SVO.

if you've never looked. If they put an SVO on their catalog, least we can look at their website.

One of the employees owns or owned an SVO. I was in contact with him several times a couple of years ago. Not sure if he still has it or not.

Based on the picture and Power Tour 2018 windshield banner, my guess is that SVO is still hanging around. I know they also have a turbo 2.3L harness available, just do a search on 'turbo' in their search engine. They even have an 87-88 Turbo Coupe injector harness that would likely work with some small modification for our cars, if not a direct replacement.

Thanks for finding that. I like the SVO in matte paint, it really shows the cars lines. I have thought that if I ever get another SVO project car I would like to do it in a matte finish but I hadn't seen one. Very nice.

You can't worry about finger prints and smudges with a matt finish!! When we got the new hood on our CP car, the shop that added the 'headlight doors' to the hood shot it in matt black because they had some in the gun at the time. The finish was nice, and they laid the paint down very well. That finish showed EVERY blimish; dirt, dust, water spots, finger prints and smudges, everything. And it was almost worse to try to clean things off the hood.

Since the hood was deemed illegal (too much cowl, although that was actually detrimental to seeing the course), we replaced it with another hood. I had that one painted the same color as the car. Matt finishes look nice, and a lighter color might be better, but I'll never do a matt finish again.

Geez, I just looked at the second picture. Yep, Scott Bowers is the guy with the SVO and the guy I was in contact with, so I guess he still owns it.
