Well, the paint on the front bumper cover rivets show that at least the bumper cover was painted. Wonder why some of the rivets are missing???

Overall, nice car. Lot's of show potential here. Looks like the original plug wires might be in the box.

Seth, you may just have to jump on a plane.

Has a good size ding behind the scoop on the left side. And a chip in the leading edge of the scoop.

Yep the rivets / hardware being painted was my first clue to paint work / repaint. Also that paint is awful shiny so if it hasn't been repainted it's at least been clear coated.

I'd like to see the under side. But it does look fairly nice.

Yep, there is a bit of overspray, so the bumper was painted. But remember this is a 60,000 mile, 34 year old car. They are not going to look showroom new at this point. My 85.5 was repainted at some point. The Ford paint back in the day was not something that could stand up to the elements for a long period of time. My 86 Shadow Blue car only had 12,000 miles on it when I purchased it from the original owner. The paint didn't look showroom new at that point. The car is in Canada now (last I heard), and has cycled through 2 more owners so who knows how it looks now.

Personally those paint defects/dings wouldn't bother me considering the age and miles on the car...it happens!! If whatever repair on the front bumper cover only required some sanding/respray without removal, I am guessing it was just something cosmetic. Something to note...yes, something to fret about...no, IMHO.

You should have seen my car when I got it at only 5 years old and 57K miles. The original owner must have had a habit of following gravel trucks, along with some interesting body panel repaints with lacquer paint (spider webbing like you wouldn't believe) and bondo patching on rust through on the hatch. With some spit polishing and elbow grease it was a nice 10 ft car and actually photographed well, but it had issues. My repaint is now 20+ years old, has ~60K miles on it and still looks good at under 5 ft...ah, the wonders of newer paint technology!

Have to wonder if it will sell at all, considering it hasn't hit its reserve yet. Will be interesting to see how many additional bids come in over the next 4 days and if the reserve is met or lifted.

Very curious about the reserve. Talked to a guy that offered 17k for the red one on Bring a Trailer and the guy declined. Then seller put it up on BaT and it sold for Less than 16k.
