Motorcraft battery at Ford is BXT-56A, but owners manual says BX63 for 86. Same thing?
Not being any kind of concours nut, but I certainly found a lot of banter out there on the 86 Fox's for battery judging. Here is what I found: The BX-63 battery was discontinued in ~1991 and replaced/superseded by the BXT-56 model. So basically the answer to your questions is a resounding "yes".
