Body side molding/moulding - yes, again

I'm now starting to look for replacement side molding for our 86. I have two different styles in my stash, and do NOT remember what came off the car. One has a parallelogram-like profile,and the other has a wider flat section with a more round bead on top of it kind of profile. I suspect the parallelogram profile is what I need, but wanted to verify before I dive into the realm of body molding searches. I didn't measure the width, but will do that today after work.

I also seem to remember a rather lengthy discussion of of the subject, where someone found a style/brand that was very close, but my searches here have failed to reveal anything. Anyone remember that discussion? Thanks.

I've used aftermarket Cowles 33-302-01. It's a good alternative to the OEM. Not exactly, maybe not to your liking, but looks good and fits in the trim valley. Put it on a few SVOs over the years. Still have it on my Grabber Orange 84. O'Reilly Auto Parts sell it.

Thanks, Mike, I might have to go have a look at that product. The weatherstrip I have I measured at 1/2", but I guess there's room for 5/8" there. Ted, it looks like the pieces you show have a bit of a different profile than the stuff Corrugated has, but I do have more of that profile than what I thought Corrugated's weatherstrip looked like. I still have to peel the metal backing off of all of that, though. Thanks, all!

Gene, I think mine and Corrugated's are exactly the same. The chamfered leading edge gives it an interesting looking profile, which is why I took pics of both ends. In any case, the Cowles is likely a good alternative to the almost 'unobtainium' OEM versions.

Todd, I think I have some that looks a lot like that. That was the 'paralellogram-shaped trim I was talking about. Thanks for that listing. I'll probably try to pull the metal backing off the OEM stuff I have first, and see how it cleans up.
